Girls Who Code (GWC)

Girls Who Code focuses on bridging the gender gap in computer science/STEM through giving girls the opportunities and resources to learn and apply coding skills needed to solve real-world problems. We hope to shape girls into creative thinkers and entrepreneurs by teaching members how to use technology for advocacy, social good, and their passions. Besides providing mentorship for global and national competitions, like the Technovation Challenge, Girls Go Cyberstart, and the Congressional App Challenge, we participate in various activities each meeting to help build fundamental skills for creating websites, apps, and other technologies. We’ll also be inviting female guest speakers from STEM fields.
