National Green Schools Society (NGSS)

National Green Schools Society is an honors society that seeks to promote environmental awareness and care at Stephen F. Austin High School through education and our volunteer efforts. Our organization’s primary focus is to advocate for sustainability and environmental consciousness both in our school and within the community to make a positive difference in the world. We hope to host socials and events in the future surrounding the multiple facets of environmental care and the effects of climate change. It is the only honors society at AHS that has no teacher recommendation or grade requirements to become a member. Join NGSS to make new friends and help reduce your carbon footprint!
