American Heart Committee (AHC)

The American Heart Committee at Stephen F Austin High School is an organization allifacted with The American Heart Association whose mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives and bring awareness to heart health. We are responsible for creating events at Austin High School to help fundraise and bring awareness to the association. We focus on multiple topics such as our Heart Heroes (kids that have cardiovascular diseases), Vape/Drugs, being active etc.. Our last event, our February American Heart Kickoff hosted over 500 students and featured our Austin Angels dance team and all our Heart Heroes and Heart Moms. We plan on hosting more workshops, events and kickoffs in the future to better promote our mission to promote heart health. Learn more on how you can get involved!
